At PALS Preschool, we embrace a play-based learning approach, recognising that play is a powerful and natural way for children to explore, learn, and develop key skills. What Our Day Looks Like
Attention Autism Groups
These dynamic, interactive sessions capture children’s attention and build focus while encouraging curiosity and engagement in group activities.
Circle Time
A time for children to come together, develop listening and turn-taking skills, and participate in songs, activities, and shared experiences that foster a sense of community.
Story Time
Carefully selected stories that are specific to the curriculum, provide opportunities for language development, comprehension, and imaginative thinking, all while nurturing a love for books and storytelling.
Snack Time
A dedicated time to develop adaptive skills such as self-feeding, using utensils, and making choices about food preferences. Our staff also support children in exploring new foods and textures, promoting healthy eating habits and building independence.
Individual Work Time
One-on-one sessions are tailored to focus on each child’s specific IEP goals and objectives, helping them make meaningful progress in areas like communication, fine motor skills, and problem-solving.
Play Development
Through guided and independent play, children explore their interests, practice new skills, and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
Social Skills Practice
Structured activities and natural interactions encourage children to build relationships, practice sharing and turn-taking, and develop empathy and teamwork.
